Over 430 guests including dignitaries, the Australian Commander and Chief of the Salvation Army Miriam Gluyas, and Blacktown Mayor Brad Bunting, along with some of Western Sydney’s most influential business and community leaders attended the Western Sydney Business Leaders Lunch in support of the Salvation Army on Wednesday, 5th June 2024 at the Workers Lifestyle Club at Blacktown.
The Deputy Premier and Minister for Western Sydney, Prue Car, pre-recorded a message for the event. Her husband, Brad Hulls, gave a moving tribute to the enormous far-reaching impact the Salvation Army has had on his life.
Prominent and respected business leaders, Peter Ivany AO, and David Gallant, CEO of Walker Corporation, spoke of past contributions to the landscape of Western Sydney and of the need to continue to work collectively to improve the amenity and resources for all. Peter Ivany AO, the investor behind the Sydney Zoo, told the audience, to “never take no for an answer.”
Over $160,000 of donations was raised.
